you can just use this Filter right on a picture with some color controls, but to make the most of it:
take your favourite picture of Randy
Stonehill,
make a new layer, get the whole thing white, use the Brix Filter,
select the mortar part, expand the selection and use the gradient
tool with both colors black (or grey) to thicken it up, unselect,
use some Rain Filter to rough it up, select some white, select
similar, delete it, then use RaiseIt Filter with the angle turned
upside down, blur once, and adjust the opacity.
here I used some Perspective after flattening the image.
